Powder Keg Cottage is situated in a unique quiet location directly on the waterfront with stunning, panaromic views of Portsmouth Harbour from its two balconies, patio garden, master bedroom, living room and dining area.

We are able to arrange Powerboat Trips at discounted rates for Harringtons guests, Sailing Days and Evening Sailing in The Solent or around the Isle of Wight, and provide information on other things to see and do to best enjoy what our local area has to offer.

Detailed directions on how to reach the property if arriving by car, ferry, train or plane can be provided at any time.

We are situated just a few minutes from Portsmouth, with its excellent restaurants and bars at the vibrant waterfront Gunwharf Quays, iconic Spinnaker Tower and the Historic Dockyard where you can go aboard HMS Warrior and Nelson's famous ship HMS Victory.

A superb network of public transport includes a foot passenger ferry from Gosport to Portsmouth (a 5-minute journey), and regular train and bus services ensuring easy access to all areas. You can also reach Portsmouth by road via the M27 motorway.

You have the choice of two beaches whilst on holiday here. Stokes Bay Beach with its unspoilt coastline, wine bar and bistro and wonderful views....Popular for sunbathing, sailing and windsurfing. Lee on Solent Beach is located a ten minute drive from the property, offering a variety of restaurants with many jet skiers and kite surfers enjoying the facilities available.
